ringing in the new year... and decade!!
It’s a new decade! Can you believe it?! Happy 2020!
One of my new favorite things to do at the beginning of the new year is intentionally dream big. Because the old adage is true, the days go slow, but the years go fast. Which to me, means that it’s easy to let a month, or a year, fly by without working on the goals I want to accomplish. That’s how it used to be for me anyway.
Because we’ve all made New Year’s Resolutions that lasted about four seconds. I have friends who work in yoga studios and in gyms and they all say that attendance racks up in January. But by February, like clockwork, it’s back to just the regulars. I’ve made goals to drink more water or go to bed earlier and it’s so easy to let those fall to the wayside when things get busy.
But recently, I’ve found a new way to look at goals. A way that makes goal setting lighter and more purposeful. And gives way more space. And more compassion.
