We think we live in a world of black and white. Of this or that. Of either or.
We buy into the ideas that we have to either focus on our job OR be a good parent. That we have to belong to this group OR that one. That we can either be healthy OR eat the foods we love. That we have to grind all day at our job OR have money to do what we want to do.
But it doesn't have to be that way.
Yes, we can love our job AND be an excellent parent.
Yes, we can belong to multiple groups.
Yes, we can be healthy AND eat the foods we love.
And we don't have to hustle for money. We can have time outside of work AND have the money we want.
It's possible to have BOTH. But when we buy into the world as being black and white, we cut ourselves off from the possibilities. Who says you can't have it all?
Notice now, what thoughts are coming up for you?
Maybe the thoughts are telling you that you're not good enough to have it all. Maybe they're saying that it's not possible. Maybe you're hearing the voice of a specific person telling you that you can't.
Let me know! Because moving past these gut reactions is the first step to getting out of our own way. And teaching ourselves that it is possible to have BOTH.
