what is it like to be you right now?

What is it like to be you right now? What is it like to see? To hear? What is it like to feel how your feet feel in this moment?

Can you notice? Does it feel weird? Good? Tingly?

Mindfulness brings us to the present moment. It doesn't have to last long, but even just a few seconds throughout the day can be influential.

Mindfulness, or noticing ourselves and what's going on, allows us to take a break from the typical internal chatter. It stops the running to-do lists and repeating thoughts. It propels us into what's happening right now.

It helps us notice how we're reacting to the present moment, whether we're irritable, rushed, peaceful or tired. And noticing and accepting what we're feeling right now allows us to start to move through it.

So as you go throughout your day today, can you notice? Even just for a moment. Can you feel what it's like to breathe? Can you notice what it's like to hold your phone? Can you notice what it's like to hold someone's hand?

When we take these little pauses, it gives us some space. And eventually we can use that space to choose how we want to react rather than being on autopilot and reacting automatically in the moment.

So what is it like to be you right now? Let me know what you're noticing with an emoji below.
