becoming the warrior
So, can you see which areas of your life you're living in as a victim? Where you're constantly complaining or feeling out of control? Does it make you feel good to be in that mentality?
No, right? But how do we choose something different?
The warrior is our upgrade. How we take control.
The warrior lives in the mentality that the world is happening FOR them. How they respond to what happens is in their control. They are impacting the world in a positive way. They are grateful.
And it's tough being the warrior sometimes. It's usually outside our comfort zone at first. But we can choose to buy into the ideas that the world is up for grabs. That it's all rigged in our favor. That every tough situation is an opportunity for growth. That we deserve to create lives that lights us up. That we deserve to do work that we enjoy.
When life is happening FOR us, it is our responsibility. We are in control of how things happen. When we lose our job, we look for the lessons to be learned. We can even be excited for trying something new. When we're in a car accident on our way to an important meeting, we own that we were distracted or driving aggressively. We reschedule that meeting and move on. When a family member makes comments about how we shouldn't do what we want to do, we understand that their comments only reflect what they know. And we follow our heart regardless.
The warrior mentality helps us to create a life we enjoy. It helps us take back our power and responsibility. We admit when we're wrong and learn from our mistakes. We can choose how we react to situations and know that we have the power to change and grow and try something new.
And maybe the job we hate is propelling us to find work we love. Or tough employees are teaching us to be a better manager. Or our parents are teaching us to create boundaries.
So let's take back control. Let's choose to see the lesson or the positive.
So how might you choose to be a warrior instead of a victim today?
