happy for the holidays
The holidays often bring more expectations, stress and self-doubt. They leave us frustrated and over-programmed, without a moment to ourselves.
We're running to so many events, we're spread thin between family, friends and work. Let alone having time to unwind. With this heightened social calendar and family obligations, patience wears thin.
We get snippy with our loved ones and with ourselves. We feel overwhelmed and exhausted. We love the holidays and yet, afterwards, we crash. We need a break.
But it doesn't have to be that way...
We can manage internal and external expectations so we can set boundaries that benefit everyone.
We can let go of comparison and people-pleasing so we can enjoy the festivities instead of looking for how we don't measure up.
We can bring awareness to our thoughts and feelings and let them out productively so we don't blow up at our loved ones.
We can build our self-compassion and be nicer to ourselves so that when things go awry, we can giggle instead of cry.
When we bring awareness to how we're showing up, we have the ability to choose how we want to react. How we deal with tough questions at parties, how we schedule our time. How we feel about ourselves and our expectations. How life looks throughout the holidays.
This work changed my life. And I've seen it change all my clients' lives too. And you know what? If it's possible for us, then it's possible for you.
Because we deserve holidays that are truly fun, my friends.
